Thanks! I've contacted a couple of folks about it, but I'm not sure where to go with it next. I had thought about taking it to Google directly but I don't know who I would contact there. If there is an open source style project that is working on this kind of thing, I'd love to be able to participate in it. Otherwise, I was just going to try to bring some interest to it so that when voting does begin on the product ideas website, it can get noticed. If you guys have any ideas on how to promote or implement it, I would love to hear them!

Just ran across your blog post. I agree about the Google Dashboard and put together a mockup for how one might look. It's at http://slidesix.com/view/Google-Dashboard-concept...It works by organizing your exchanges by your roles and then your relationships. Across the top are the different type of items you exchange such as email, blog posts, and activity updates. I put this together for the Google Product Ideas site for when the begin asking for non-mobile related ideas: http://productideas.appspot.com/.Let em know if this fits with your vision for what a Google Dashboard should look like.

I was going to address iGoogle in the article but opted not to. The problem with iGoogle is similar to Gmail – it was not designed with the "Google Dashboard" in mind, even though it might seem like it.

What I am referring to is a page specifically aimed at Google's productivity suite. Marry Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Tasks in to one window, ala Outlook. Can't really do that properly with iGoogle.
