Jobs' medical issues are his, not ours, and we don't have the right to know. I feel that his "more complex" remark does mean that things are worse, and that the outcome is not as positive as he initially thought (if he truly thought that). I feel bad for him...

I do think that Apple willd continue to do fine and be strong.

Apple itself will do fine without Steve, but I think a lot of fanboys ( and fangirls ) will go crazy when they hear it. It's not that bad over here in Holland, but I still don't like people who are showing off with their new iPhone :P

I think Jon Gruber said it best in his recent post about Steve Jobs:

Unlike many others in the technical (and financial) press, I “demand” to know nothing further. If this is all Jobs chooses to share regarding the specific details of what ails him, that is up to him. But it’s very difficult to read this any other way than that where Jobs says “more complex”, he means “worse”.

I can't say I'm surprised. As Joshua pointed out, and you in your post, methinks Apple will continue to be a strong company with or without Jobs. He's finally got the ship on the right course!

I agree. I knew too many people would freak when this news was let out.

Its been pretty clear that Jobs was going to do this, as he has been talking less at keynotes. (not at all at Macworld)

Rather he has been showing people his great team. Apple will continue on strong.
